Store Manager: Joan Sales
Joan brings nearly 25 years of specialty retail management and buying experience to Orvis, with a strong focus and commitment to excellence in customer service. She is passionate about making sure customers enjoy their visit to Orvis so that they will want to come back to the store and will tell others about their positive shopping experience. Joan listens to our customers to learn what they like and need, and then she works tirelessly to find just the right gift, fishing gear, or clothing to fit their particular needs. She also has considerable experience with online or catalog sales as a tool to meet and exceed customer expectations. In her spare time, Joan used to haul her sons (and golden retriever Buddy) around for soccer and hockey. But now that they have finished college, she has returned to her enjoyment of the beach and the Chesapeake—and might even try fly fishing!
Fishing Manager: Dan Ogren
Since his early years, Dan had always searched for a way to turn his avocation into his vocation. His love of fly fishing led him to an early career path with The Orvis Company. He took years off to spend time fishing around the country while trying to fit in study time for his MBA degree. After graduation, he returned to the famous waters of Pennsylvania, still close enough for an occasional quick fishing trip to the beaches of New Jersey.
