Store Manager: Trey Oliver
A native of Greenville, NC, Trey joined Orvis Charlotte in the fall of 2014 as Fishing Manager. As an avid hunter and fisherman, Trey enthusiastically embodies Orvis culture both at work and in his personal life. When hes not at work, Trey can most often be found casting to big browns in eastern-Tennessee or to tailing redfish in South Carolina. Naturally, this excludes the month of April, during which he turkey hunts with religious fervor. In Treys words Working for Orvis has allowed me the opportunity to embrace my love for the natural world through teaching fly fishing programs, hosting destination fishing trips, and working face to face with our customers to ensure they are geared up for their own upcoming adventures.
Fishing Manager: Bryson Stalnaker
Bryson was born in Raleigh and has spent his entire life exploring and fishing the Carolinas. An avid outdoors-man, he has fished extensively on the rivers of western North Carolina from Boone through Cherokee. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a finance and mathematics degree, Bryson worked in accounting while using every free moment and vacation day to chase fish on the fly. Bryson has pursued fish throughout the US including the Pacific Northwest, the Great Lakes region, and Florida Keys. He enjoys targeting all species and loves the challenge and constant learning opportunities that fly fishing offers. When not fishing he is probably camping with his girlfriend or visiting his parents at their lake house on Lake Gaston North Carolina (where he is probably fishing).
